Press release "SKeyes" deplores the judgment that sentenced the journalist Abu Arafa for 3 months in prison and demands to release him immediately

The Palestinian military court, which was held on Monday July 26, 2010 in Al-Khalil of the West Sector, issued a sentence against the journalist Amer Abu Arafa. The sentence imprisons him for three months and imposes a fine of 500 Jordanian dinars, on charges of "Opposing the national general authority".

Hamas’s Security summons the novelist Atef Abu Seif, detains him and severely assaults him

Gaza - A SKeyes Special Report - On Wednesday, July 21, 2010, the writer and novelist Atef Abu Seif was severely beaten on his back, chest and neck, by a member of the Internal Security service affiliated with the dismissed government of Hamas in Gaza, who used his fists. As a result, Abu Seif suffered sharp pains and bruises and contusions, and was detained for several hours in a cell (which was a small dirty toilet). 

The Arrest of a Danish Participant in the Protest March of Naalin

Ramallah - "SKeyes" On Friday July 16, the Israeli forces arrested a Danish participant while supporting the peaceful march in the protest against the confiscation of Naalin land, western Ramallah, to build the Apartheid Wall.  

"SKeyes" calls the prosecutors to investigate the threat to journalists that was published in "AlAkhbar" Newspaper

"AlAkhbar" Newspaper published a dangerous speech, citing unknown and unspecified "security source". It is really not news but a clear and frank threat of journalists with death if they dared to publish "data on the international investigation in the assassination of the former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, in particular those that refer to the possible involvement of members of Hezbollah.
